Music as the people say is the food for the soul.it heals the soul of various problems everyday.Music helps to ease tensions and depressions according to the great psychologist: when i am weighed down music is the answer:
This manuscript is to xray the different kinds of music on the planet earth. And the importance of music to mankind.
The following are the importance and significance of music to mankind
1 it provides employment opportunities to both old and young of all races.
2 it is a source of income to the artiste or the musician
3 it helps to ease tension and depression
4 it is a form of entertainment for the masses
5 it prevents idleness and prevent youth unrest
6 it showcase our cultural and musical heritage.
7 it helps to promote our national identities abroad
Now let us go to the various kinds of music we have and how they are played.
1 MOTIVATIONAL MUSIC-This is a kind s of music that aims and help to motivate the listeners to perform certain actions in life.The music tones urge the listeners to take actions that tends to solve some immediate predicament
This music helps to make someone achieve something and make them willing to work hard in order to do more.
2 CULTURAL OR TRADITIONAL MUSIC-This is the type of music played according to culture and traditions of the people
In Africa for example we have various forms of cultural and traditional music with ethnic languages.

20 CONGO MUSIC OR MACOSSA MUSIC- This is another forms of music that is very common in africa continent.The music is not too soft or hard but with very good sound and rhythm that entertain the masses.The artiste and the dancers wear an attractive custumes and dance along while the music is played
21 ROCK MUSIC-This is also called Rock AND Roll music.it is a type of music that is modern and popular with a strong loud beats played using guitar and drums with high beats and dance steps.

The importance and advantages of music cannot be overemphasized because music plays a vital roles in human life.

This means that majority of people derived their money and wealth through music to cater for their family and immediate needs,therefore is a sources of income for the artiste and singers.
3 Music Serves as food for the soul especially when someone is under distress,
this means that when people are not happy sometimes and when you play them their favourite music that make them to think of the good times and days,their sorrows and distress will vanished and they will bounce back to life again.
4 Music makes people to think and reflect- according to the type of music and change our attitudes towards ones belief and religion because the singer and the musician will preach unity and love among people.
5 Music serves as entertainment and ways of socialization-
Through music many people are entertained and socialised themselves with one another and therefore make friends and meet people of the same cultural,biological,religious and business associates
